Autism Double-Checked offers three progressive levels of certification designed to help travel providers better support autistic travelers and their families. Each level builds on the one before it, representing an increasing commitment to autism readiness.

LEVEL ONE - AUTISM AWARE
You can share your needs.
Every autistic traveler is different. Being able to share individual needs and preferences before a trip can help a travel provider better understand how to support you or your family member.
At the Autism Aware level, providers accept the Autism Passport, giving autistic travelers and their families a way to share important information in advance.
Autism Aware is the first level of ADC certification and the foundation on which each additional level builds.
LEVEL TWO- AUTISM READY
You can know before you go.
Knowing what to expect can make unfamiliar travel experiences easier to prepare for. Autism Ready providers build on Level One by providing detailed information to help autistic travelers and their families understand what they may experience before they arrive.
Depending on the type of travel provider, this information is provided through a Visitor Guide or Passenger Guide and may include details about sensory considerations, safety, facilities, services and other aspects of the travel experience.
Autism Ready providers also accept the Autism Passport, so travelers can share their individual needs in advance.
LEVEL THREE - AUTISM DOUBLE-CHECKED Staff are prepared.
Certified ‘Autism Double-Checked’ companies are rolling out the red carpet for you and your family.

Autism Double-Checked is our highest level of certification. These providers build on Levels One and Two by adding autism training for staff, helping them better understand autism and the situations that may arise when supporting autistic travelers.
Training includes practical, job-specific information about situations that may arise and how staff can best support autistic travelers in those situations.
Autism Double-Checked providers offer the full progression of support: they accept the Autism Passport, provide a detailed Visitor or Passenger Guide, and have completed ADC’s autism training requirements for staff.
